Lake Starnberg Region and Conference Hotel

The conference hotel Hotel Schloss Berg at the village Berg at the shore of Lake Starnberg. By following the links in the text you'll find plenty of information about the hotel, the beautiful Lake Starnberg, and the its surroundings. Unfortunately many of the web pages are only in German, but since this is a well known touristic region we are completely certain that you will find also plenty of pages for international guests.

There are actually two buildings belonging to the hotel; the restaurant and beer garden at the lake and the main building with the hotel reception and conference facilities just across the parking lot. The address is:

Travel Information

The Lake Starnberg region is easily accessible through the city of Starnberg at the northern shore of the lake. Starnberg has two train stations ("S-Bahn") - "Starnberg Nord" and "Starnberg", the latter one is the old station at the lake. Both are serviced by the Munich local transport system MVV with the train ("S-Bahn") S6 - the green line on the MVV map. Once at Starnberg, the best way to get to the hotel is to take a taxi for about EUR 11. Or, if time and weather permit and you like to enjoy the short trip over the lake, take the boat from Starnberg station to Berg. Tickets can be bought on the boat and you can get off at the next pier at the beer garden of the conference hotel.

To Starnberg by public transport

From the main train station ( "Hauptbahhof") at Munich, take the S6 south to Starnberg and get off as soon as you see the lake. From Munich International Airport MUC take the S8 or S1 to "Hauptbahnhof" and change there to S6. Tickets have to be bought before entering the train and you get one at a ticket vending machines at the station.
